More information on: http://www.patsyfurlongfoundation.org
The Patsy Furlong Foundation is a registered charity in Ireland.
The Charity was founded in 2001 by Mick Reade. After a short stint as a volunteer in Romania he took it upon himself to take some action and went on to buy a house with money raised in Ireland. The project finished in Romania they joined the EU.
In 2007 Mick went on to do some volunteer work in Nigeria where he seen an opportunity to help orphaned and vulnerable children. Since then the charity has purchased a house in which three families are living and have helped numerous individual cases. We are about to begin work on the next phase of the project which is setting up a co-operative society which will lead to its members becoming fully self sufficent.
We are currently working in Nigeria in the City of Ilesa in Osun State which has a population of 190,000.
