Dun laoghaire bed and breakfast
Darthogue Guesthouse is a home away from home, providing bed and breakfast accommodation with wonderful home cooking tucked away near the heart of Dun Laoghaire.

With frequent DART rail and bus services between Dun Laoghaire and Dublin and located near to the Holyhead to Dublin ferry terminal, Darthogue is the perfect base from which to explore Dublin city, Wicklow and the surrounding counties.

Dun Laoghaire is beside the sea and sports restaurants, bars and a lively shopping district. With a catchment area of 200,000 people it is very well served with transport links to Dublin, including late night buses on the weekends which will take you from Dublin city to Dun Laoghaire in a mere 25 minutes right up to 4am in the morning! Long associated with James Joyce since he located the opening of his famous novel Ulysees in Sandycove, just 5 minutes walk from Dun Laoghaire, the area is known for its amenities and beauty such as Dun laoghaire pier and the stunning Vico Road, Dalkey.

Darthogue b&b has a variety of rooms including ensuite. The warm and welcoming atmosphere means that a goodly proportion of our guests are returning visitors who have come back to see us a second, third, fourth and more times. Bernie\'s passion for cooking and her talent for baking have consistently won the hearts and praises of our guests.

Darthogue bed and breakfast provides something that no hotels in Dun Laoghaire can match - a home away from home. Bed and breakfast accommodation when done right - as it is in Darthogue - allows visitors to experience a more authentic taste of Ireland, not just in the food but in the atmosphere and the friendliness that one gets from staying in a real Irish home. Hotels can try but they cannot match this and no hotel in Dun Laoghaire can match the home cooked authenticity and flavours of Darthogue\'s menu.
