Naive? Is a student of history to be denied access to this data because of some present day generations historical ignorance and jaundiced immature political opinion?
It must be a almighty leap of intelligence to retort in the simplistic way you did.
Are our grand-fathers any different from the current knee-cappers? Probably not, who knows [or cares], they are still fondly remembered and cherished. They contributed far more to this state's creation than that idiot Redmond and his silly associates and killed far far less with their idealogy or their immorality like the British of the day.
So, they killed people, long ago as all soldiers do, as all soldiers did and will continue to do and you call him naive? What you really mean are they not terrorists in the mould of PIRA/Real/Imaginary etc et all. Well no they were not the same it was a different time, a different situation, even a different place. They simply used terror on their enemies, in response to it, a subtle but important difference.
And to the guys original question, yes there is a museum to the Old IRA in Dungarvan
