Sweeney's Men was formed in 1966 by Johnny Moynihan (Dublin), Andy Irvine (London) and Joe Dolan (Galway). Henry McCullough (Portstewart) replaced Andy in 1968. The group received the Fiddlers Green Hall of Fame Award at the Festival in Rostrevor, Co. Down, in 2007. http://iol.ie/~ronolan/sweeneys.html
