A couple more ... The Newmen and The Waggonaires who were a Co. Down band playing in the 1970s. They backed many well known artists and showbands. Last week's Mourne Observer carried an obituary for Dennis Bannon who was The Waggonaires lead guitarist. He gained a reputation as one of the best lead guitarists in the country music scene.
